Definition

When the original actor can no longer actively shape interpretation, the production of meaning increasingly moves to other people and institutions. This is a transfer of interpretive agency — not a transfer of ownership.

元の担い手が意味形成に参加できなくなったとき、その作品・仕事・行為の意味づけが、他者や制度へ移っていく。所有権の移転ではなく、解釈する主体（interpretive agency）の移行として扱う。
